How to Dive in a pool NOT HIGH DIVING!?
hi does anyone know a link to a site with Video instructions on how to do a correct dive into a pool i don’t want high dive sites please
Site that show you how to dive into a pool right
or instructions written on here please
Thank you
stand on the edge with one foot forward (curl your toes over the edge) and one foot back (it’s called a track start)
put your arms above your head so that your biceps are squeezing the area right behind your ears. your hands should be overlapped, one on top of the other.
slowly lean forward until you feel you will fall in and then push off with your legs. it takes a while to get used to this and so at first it will feel more like you are rolling into the water than getting much power from the push off.
MAKE SURE YOUR CHIN IS TUCKED down against your chest as you are diving. If it is not you will most likely do a belly flop.
If you have a lot of trouble with this dive start off in a kneeling position, on one knee with one leg forward, use the same technique as described above but you will be able to lean a bit farther forward before entering the water.
Good luck:)
Assuming you know how to swim….
Stand on the edge of the pool BUT NOT AT THE SHALLOW END.
Place your hands "in prayer" above your head.
Bend forward a little at the waist til you can see the water.
Fall forward, leading with your hands and you will have just made your first dive.
IMPORTANT – DO NOT ATTEMPT YOUR FIRST DIVE ALONE, Have an experienced swimmer w/you.
